Svencelė - A Subtle Getaway for Kiters

Having learned the reasons why time speeds up as we get older, one is better off finding new activities to explore. Keeping yourself entertained should evolve beyond the convenience of a smartphone screen. Because of the short distances between the regions, you are in luck with that on a summer day in Lithuania.

Svencelė is one of those mysteriuous gems of the country that contain elements of a great story - located in a rural yet mesmerising area of the soutwestern part of Klaipėda region, it faces the Curonian lagoon from a pocket of green forestry.

Discovered by the Wind sports afficionados over a decade ago, it began drawing regular crowds from the capital, creating a micro community now boasting a regular kite competition event and a location worthy of visiting to see how the perfect weather conditions met the right enthusiasts.

You can travel on your way to Ventė or book a few days stay while learning how to conquer the wind. You are sure to hear some great music in the local cafe and meet some of the hipsterious kids in the country excited to teach you more about their passion.
