Music in Lithuania

The country is among the world leaders for internet speed, with mobile penetration rate at 1,5 times the population. A great 62% of citizens are Internet users, making it a guarantee that you can obtain affordable, fast internet connection nearly everywhere throughout the country. The contemporary music scene in the Baltics is a great example of the cultural evolution that took place moving from the censorship times into the area for identity search. Saulės Kliošas came together in 2000, and has had the lead vocalist, Daiva Starinskaitė (now the voice of the KeyMono collective, a 2011 Best Electronica Act Winner at the People's Choice Awards) pass the mic to her sister, Justė. The band is based in Vilnius, and continues to gain popularity for making quality stuff.

On November 5th, they uploaded their latest video entiled "Nothing for Love" -



In 10 days since the upload, the video has been viewed nearly 130,000 times on Youtube alone. With the production done by the "Wide wings" studio in Vilnius, it does a great job presenting the atmosphere of the recording.
