Winter Ease on Raganų Kalnas

The winters in Lithuania are a marvelous example of the beautiful season. Despite the variety of temperature changes resulting in several changes of snow color, there is quite a bit of it snowing over the four months, making it a a unique event every time. Among the things you can do when the weather is cold, there is the awesome walk after taking a fairy ride from Klaipėda to Smiltynė. You can use your car to cruise around the area, or plan on walking by foot.

Given that you have taken time to dress in warm, comfortable winter clothing and shoes, the chosen destination will be quite rewarding for anyone seeking a few hours of tranquility and great natural surroundings. After reaching Smiltynė, depending on your situation (car/no-car), you can either enjoy this part of the Coronian Spit, or travel along the coastline for views of the bit-frozen Baltic Sea.

Those are no birds, those are the fanatics of fishing in the winter time

Juodkrantė is the home for Raganų Kalnas (the Mountain of Witches), a popular location for winter lovers looking for a relaxing walk in the woods.

There are plenty sights of unique wooden sculptures, at times a bit bizzare but always presenting great photo opportunities.

Party Up

The beautiful paths between old tall trees are very different in the winter time from anything you might have been amazed by in the warm days of summer, making it worthy of experiencing.

You are sure to have an outstanding experience by putting on good headphones (there are not too many sounds in the wintertime around, because all the birds are chilling in the warmer lands), playing music that brings back the memories of summer, and taking a walk.

Make sure not to miss the last fairy back to Klaipėda, and wave to the fishermen once more for good luck!
