Mingė the Venice of Lithuania

If you find youself looking for a memorable hideaway, be it alone, with someone that too enjoys quiet walks, or maybe a group of friends looking for a good relaxing weekend spent fishing and sailing, come to Mingė, a fishermen village unique for being noticeably separated by the Minija river and having no bridge to be crossed.

Known for the last hundred years as the village with no streets where people use boats when in need to visit a neighbour, it has earned the name of Lithuanian Venice, and rightfully so - the views are spectacular, there are always any size boats available to take you around some of the best nature sights in Lithuania all while you can book a room literally 30 seconds away from your ship.

You can book an entire villa for your gathering, or just a room in several of the houses available. Be sure to start a quick chat with the owner and you might get a great deal on a river-tour or advices for the best dinner at one of the local places nearby.
